Famous footballer Ian Wright performed an unusual version of a hat trick this Sunday when he bought 3 charity beanie hats from our enterprise Twin Hats supporting charity Cancer Hair Care. Ian and his family were attending a charity fun day in Tring hosted by Champneys Spas.
The former Arsenal football player and television and radio personality loved the charity project so much that he spent time with the founder, Jasmin Julia Gupta, discovering all about her charity and Twin Hats project. To further show his support he posted on social media, posting photo's and supportive comments on his Instagram and twitter pages with a combination of over 2 Million followers.
Cancer Hair Care charity founder and Twin Hats social campaigner, Jasmin Julia Gupta said
"It was a huge surprise when Ian came over to my stall and started to try on hats. He was with his beautiful family who were all so enthusiastic about the Twin Hats idea to 'buy one, help gift one to a child with cancer'. After buying three funky stripped beanie hats for himself he then treated his entire family to hats and knitted dollies with hats for his children.
He was so enthusiastic and spent time with me finding out about the work of my charity Cancer Hair Care. He was especially interested in the work we do with children. We chatted about social media and he said 'I love this Twin Hats idea let's get it out there'. He then set about having photo's taken and posting on his social media. I'm hoping that Ian's support will help to kick start the hat buying season and help us to deliver more hats to children with hair loss due to cancer treatment".
